We’d love to feature every book, but there simply isn’t time! Submitting your book doesn’t guarantee a podcast feature, but we do consider every title seriously and may share it with our audience in other ways, like on social media or in our newsletter.

Send us an email at pandpbookclub@gmail.com with a short introduction and a description of your book. If you’re willing to provide two free copies (digital or physical—whatever’s easiest), we’ll be happy to take a look!

If we decide to feature your book on the podcast, we’ll be in touch! Otherwise, we’ll do our best to give it a shout-out somewhere else, especially if we enjoyed it and think others might too.

Absolutely! Many of the books we love most are indie or self-published. And we even love FanFic! As long as it’s a Pride and Prejudice variation (or strongly inspired by it), we’re open to it.

We’ve read everything from regency-style continuations to vampire mashups and modern reimaginings. If it’s well-written and rooted in the Pride and Prejudice universe, we’re interested.

That being said...

• Emilie tends to love books that have a lot of Darcy and Elizabeth time (before or after being married).

• Alicia loves books that dig deep and make you think.

• And Sharon...well, she pretty much loves EVERYTHING!

We also appreciate books that have been thoughtfully edited and polished. We’re not grammar sticklers, but we are looking for stories that feel complete, flaws and all!

We try to keep an open mind, but we are unlikely to feature a book that contains graphic violence, intense scenes of abuse, or severe/tortuous angst. We read for fun, and while deeper topics are great for mixing things up, we don't like being in the head of characters that are evil or experiencing extreme levels of pain and angst.

We will also not feature books that contain sexual content that is included for titillation instead of character-driven intimacy (in other words, no "50 Shades" adaptations, please!).

Everyone has their own spice level, and we tend to land somewhere between closed-door and limited open-door (it must make sense for the characters and established world).

Maybe! We occasionally invite authors to join us for special episodes, especially when we’re featuring their book. If you’re interested in being a guest, let us know when you email us your book info. We’ll reach out if we think it’s a good fit for an upcoming episode or bonus content.

Our author interviews are meant to be engaging and inspirational. We love hearing how you fell in love with Pride and Prejudice, what your writing process looks like, what inspired your variation, and what gave you the push to publish it. We’ll absolutely mention your book (and any upcoming projects), but we don’t include pitches for programs or products unless they are directly related to being a Jane Austen nerd (like a conference or fun Austen merch).
